There is a development in the Katy, Tx area named Katy Main Street. The project is being developed at the southwest corner of Pin Oak and the Katy Freeway which is adjacent to the Katy Mills Mall.
Major road construction is set to eventually tie both FM 1093 and the Grand Parkway to Pin Oak. Also, Kingsland Blvd. will be extended. H-E-B is rumored to be the anchor retail store. Soon, the first phase should start and will be a small section of the total development.
For plans, there is to be 500,000 square feet of retail space and 400,000 square feet of Class A office space. Along the Katy freeway, 15 acres of pad site development will be available.

Katy continues to be one the fastest growing areas in the entire United States and the fastest growing suburb in the Houston area.
Within a five mile radius of Katy Main Street, population estimates show that the estimated population will increase from 100,301 ( 2009) to 120,900 by 2014 or approximately 20% increase.
