St. Peter’s United Methodist Church Advent and Katy Christmas Events

To get Katy residents in the Spirit of Christmas St. Peter’s United Methodist Church in Katy, Tx has a number of wonderful holiday events. From live performances to music to worship services, there is something for every Katy resident.

- Sunday, December 13th: St. Peter’s Children’s Choir is set to perform Christmas Hang-up at 9:45 a.m.

- Sunday, December 13th: St. Peter’s Children’s and Youth Ministries is scheduled to host The Sights, Sounds and Smells of Christmas, family festival open to all from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

- Sunday, December 13th: As a Katy community sing-along, Handel’s Messiah will be offered by the St. Peter’s Chancel Choir. Through this classical music masterpiece, all are invited to come and joyfully celebrate the gift of the baby Jesus at 7:00 p.m.

- Tuesday, December 15th: At 7:00 p.m., a Taize Woship Service will be held. In this holy season, this is a prayerful ad meditative service that provides a welcome respite from the hectic pace of the holiday, inviting a deeper spiritual connection with God.

- Sunday, December 20th: At 7:00 p.m., St. Peter’s Chancel Choir and Orchestra will perform Rutter’s Gloria, Vivaldi’s Gloria and a Christmas carol sing-along. The concert is set to open with a Christmas presentation of the St. Peter’s Carillon Bell Choir.

- Monday, December 21st: Night of Hope at 7:00 p.m. They acknowledge the grief, loss, and darkness in our lives during this service of hope, yet celebrate together the coming of joy, hope, and light into the world through the birth of Jesus.

- Thursday, December 24th: At one of seven worship services, come celebrate the birth of Jesus. At 3:00 p.m., a special service for families of young children is offered.

Celebrate the birth of Jesus with carols, communion and candlelight with additional worship services at 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. At 5:00 p.m., an alternative style of worship in a more casual setting will be offered and 7:00 p.m. in Lott Fellowship hall as well.
